Laura Tarragó Encinar
(Barcelona, Spain, 1970)

Laura Tarragó, who studied Business Sciences and has a Master’s degree in Business from the prestigious University of Deusto, complemented her literary education at the Ateneu de Barcelona, taking one of the most renowned writing programs in Europe. Her novel Sol Negro, translated into English as “The Ancient Whispers of the Skulls”, has been awarded the 1st Prize for the Best Adventure Novel, the 3rd Prize for the Best Mystery Novel at the International Latino Book Awards and the Caligrama Promesa Prize.

Her work stands out for combining mystery, science fiction and intrigue with a profound reflection on climate change, consolidating her as a leading voice in contemporary narrative.
